We are privileged and delighted to have been chosen as the Head Boy and Head Girl of St Benedict’s Sixth Form and would like extend a warm welcome to students, parents and friends of our school and sixth form.

At St Benedict’s we hope to ignite a love of learning within all members of our community, a desire to achieve our academic and personal best and to dedicate ourselves to the service of others. We aspire to uphold our distinctive school values in our daily lives in sixth form and to act as role models for our fellow students. We are immensely proud to be Head Boy and Head Girl and truly grateful for all the opportunities the school has given us. We hope to show you why we are so proud by telling you a little bit more about it.

As one of the biggest Catholic sixth forms in the country we are very proud to achieve excellent results in a wide range of academic A level and vocational courses here at St Benedict’s. We definitely feel our sixth form offers a wider range of courses with a subject to suit just about everyone! Last year our Year 13  students achieved our best ever results with a pass rate of 99.7% at A level and 50% passing at  A*/B and 100% pass rate in our BTEC  vocational courses with 80% being at Distinction/Distinction*  level. 92% of St Benedict’s students went on to university study with 28% securing places at prestigious Russell Group destinations including Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester and Oxford. This really gives us a lot to live up to this year!

Here at St Benedict’s there is much more on offer as well as excellent academic opportunities. Our sixth form allows us to develop our personal qualities and skills which will aid us in whatever path we take in our lives. St Benedict’s offers numerous enrichment opportunities including skiing, work experience in Italy and Spain, a pilgrimage to Lourdes and clubs working towards addition qualifications such as life guarding, the National Citizenship Service and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. We also choose our own charity every year as a sixth form and last year raised £3000 for Bradford Cancer Support through numerous social events such as The Benedict Bake Off and many fundraising seasonal parties.
