By popular request, Year 10 boys were once again offered the chance to go on retreat to Myddelton Grange in Ilkley. Some of the boys who took up the option could be described as Grange Veterans having been several times in past years.
Once again, we had a great time which was entertaining, relaxing and spiritual in equal measure. We were made very welcome by Paddy and Katy who led the retreat, and we were grateful to all the staff there who cooked for us and made sure we were comfortable.
We enjoyed playing many fun games which helped us bond as a group, we took part in workshops which made us think more deeply about issues, we explored the beautiful surroundings on a two hour walk, and we finished off with a celebration of mass in thanksgiving for our time together.
We returned to school refreshed and revitalised after treating ourselves to this little bit of soul time, and we committed ourselves to walking more consciously in God’s presence in the daily routines of our lives.
