I would like to formally express a warm welcome back to all our Year 13 students in the first half term of this new academic year. Congratulations are in order for many of our students who achieved very good AS/BTEC results this summer. Mrs Weir, Mr McNicholas and I are well aware of the hard work and dedication that sits behind such well-deserved achievement.
As a whole, St Benedict’s Sixth Form has much to celebrate with improved percentage retention rates, good and improved AS level pass rates and excellent BTEC results at both Level 2 and 3. We thank you as parents / carers for your continued support which allows us to move forward so positively. Currently we are preparing our Year 13 students to submit their UCAS applications.
Click here for a copy of the Sixth Form Calendar so you can see the many forthcoming events and key dates throughout this academic year. I would like to draw your attention in particular to the Year 13 Parents’ Evening.
Thursday 15th October is Year 13 Parents’ Evening, 5:00pm – 8:00pm (Ardor site) – this is the annual, traditional Year 13 Parents’ Evening when you can meet with individual subject teachers to discuss your son /daughter’s A2/BTEC progress and predicted grades for the end of Year 13. It is expected that all parents/carers attend this evening to support their son/daughter in their studies
I look forward to seeing you at Parents’ Evening. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need to discuss any of this information further.
