On Saturday the 5th of November Onna Ju-Jitsu club ran their first Interclub competition with over 70 competitors, many of these competing in 3 categories each. From SBSJ we saw Abdullah Awan Year 11 debut and win a gold medal in the Ground fighting category and a bronze in the continuous fighting category. We also saw Zaynah Arooj Year 9 debut and win a silver in the Ground fighting and a bronze medal in the Continuous fighting category. Eessa Ghani Year 12 who is already a National gold medallist picked up another gold medal in his first time participating in Random Attacks. He also scored 2 gold medals for the Continuous fighting and ground fighting categories making it a hat trick!

Finally, Saturday also saw our own Mrs J Khan refereeing for the first time but more importantly scored a hat trick, gaining 3 gold medals in the continuous fighting, ground fighting and for the Sword Kata. It was a terrific day for all the Ju-Jitsu students. Well done to them all.
