Teacher set for Epic Adventure in 2017

Mr Boatwright

Here at SBSJ we are very proud of our inspirational member of staff Mr Boatwright, also known as the ‘Epic Runner’. In 2012, he ran 50 miles a day for 50 days in a row around the coast of the UK, all in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’, a charity very close to his heart. Through the completion of this challenge, he managed to raise an amazing £16,500.

Next year, he’s aiming to do his biggest challenge to date, this timehe will be combining two of his passions - running and cycling. In July 2017, his aim is to run and cycle across America. He will be starting in New York, running 50 miles one day and then cycling 100 miles the next. This gruelling pattern will be continued as he travels with his crew, Saj Hussain, Mathew Wright, Helen Foster and Anthony Hannan through Philadelphia and Chicago and until he reaches Los Angeles, via the infamous Route 66.

We are immensely proud of Mr Boatwright and what he aspires to achieve.  Let’s get on board by simply supporting him and wising him luck throughout this Epic Adventure by following him or make a donation on one of the following:
