Rambert Elements is a choreographic challenge organised by the Rambert Dance Company who are one of the largest and oldest dance companies in the United Kingdom. This year to celebrate 90 years of dance they invited schools to apply and take on the Ramber Element Challenge. Around 70 schools applied to take part and we were one of 35 schools that were successful. Each school worked with one of 3 choreographers and used their choreographic tool kit to create a piece of choreography to a piece of music selected by the choreographer. Ignite Dance company rehearsed after school to create a dance using the choreographic style of Alexander Whitley.
On Friday 11th March we went to the Lowry Theatre to rehearse and perform alongside 5 other schools and colleges. This was a completely professional experience for the girls and they really excelled.
