For the final time, as part of the GCSE History Controlled Assessment, 100 Year 10 students and the History Department had a very enjoyable trip to Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire.
Students focused on information they would need for forthcoming assessment questions. The beautiful setting of the Abbey
coupled with the fabulous weather, made for a perfect picnic spot for the lunchtime break. We certainly failed to adhere to the monastic vow of silence but the plentiful discussions ensured everyone went away with useful knowledge to complete their write up for the two GCSE questions.
