Sampling Life on Campus

A group of aspirational Year 12 students headed off for a taste of 'University Life' on a Cambridge Residential. The increasing interest in Oxbridge applications has really increased over the last few years.
Upon our arrival at the Queen's College Porter's office, we were warmly greeted by the senior admissions team leader, a lovely warm and helpful lady who has really helped drive the support for Oxbridge, specifically Cambridge. Students were whisked off to introductory subject seminars and from there they received keys to their rooms. A tour, a large dinner and a quiz seemed to enhance the sense of energy that had continued throughout the morning.
A discussion on admissions, mock interview sessions and subject specific lectures followed.
I hope that the 2 days bring about a burning desire to aim high and aspire for the best option available to our young people.
