Year 10 Achievement Evening

Tuesday 20th September 6.00pm-7.00pm

Boys Main Hall : Ardor Site     Girls Our Lady's Hall : Ignis Site

Year 10 is a vital year for both performance and preparation.  As your son/daughter embark on their journey towards the successful completion of his/her GCSE studies, an effective and strong relationship between school and home is imperative.  This year presents us with the changes as to how the GCSE courses are graded, how some subjects are assessed and the specifications in certain subjects.

With this in mind, we would like to invite you to the Achievement Information Evening on the above date.  This evening will provide us with the opportunity to share with you some key information that will help us prepare your son/daughter for the challenges ahead.  It will also allow you to meet form tutors and discuss any concerns you may have as we enter this important time in your son/daughter's education.  Some of the areas that will be covered in the evening are:

  • Home Access for parents

  • The new GCSE structure

  • Target setting and expected student outcomes

  • Key dates and events

  • PPE – pre public examinations

  • Using the school planner effectively

We hope that you can attend this evening and help to strengthen the important relationship between school and home. Please complete the attached slip and return to your son/daughter's form tutor.
