On Wednesday 18th October, twenty Year 9 students took part in the Diocese of Leeds Ripon Pilgrimage to Ripon Cathedral.
The Ripon pilgrimage is a new diocesan venture travelling to the site of the tomb of St Wilfrid, who is one of the Parton Saints of our diocese.
Ripon Cathedral was full to overflowing, with students representing Primary and Secondary schools from all corners of our diocese as well as adults from many parishes.
SBSJ was well represented with many of our students leading the singing as both the Bradford Catholic Boys and Girls Choirs were present.
Concelebrated Mass started with a procession of banners – we processed both our Pilgrimage Cross and our College banner.
Being able to worship with the rest of our diocese in such a historic cathedral, was a very special moment.
