Royal Academy of Art visit SBSJ

On Friday 10th February St Bedes and St Josephs Art Department proudly hosted, for the first time, the Royal Academy of Arts Outreach program. To our knowledge we are the only School in Bradford to have welcomed the Royal Academy to work with our students. The program took the form of a one day life drawing workshop held under the guidance of Royal Academy Artist Charlotte Steel. Thirty of our most able young artist from across KS4 and KS5 took part. The workshop focused on creativity through life drawing and the students worked very hard throughout the day resulting in a portfolio of exploratory drawings. A fantastic opportunity for our students to develop expressive drawing.

Charlotte Steel from the academy had this to say about the day. "We thought the students were brilliant, taking risks, being courageous and also attentive throughout the day. It was a wonderful day for us and I hope we get the opportunity to work with your students again".
