Six Year 10 girls studying GCSE Art were selected to create an artwork inspired by the brief 'Our shared future’ for the Bradford Refugee Week Art Exhibition. The artworks produced show the diverse range of responses to this theme. The students have managed to reflect the complex political and emotional issues surrounding refugee action.
The artwork was displayed at Gallery II in Bradford University. Our students work sat alongside that of established artists including Nazmeen Akhtar and Ruth Fettis, who worked with our students last year on a print-making project. The students should be immensely proud of themselves for creating and exhibiting artworks outside of school in their GCSE years.
The exhibition is supported by the University of Bradford and Arts Council England
