Year 13 Parents’ Evening
19th October 2017, 4.30pm – 7.30pm
The AS results day still seems so fresh in the memory, many of our students are now engaged in applying for apprenticeships or university places and now we look forward to our first chance to discuss the progress during the early part of Year 13. The year will move on rapidly from this point and on Thursday 19th October you will have the opportunity to discuss with subject teachers and Progress staff the next steps your son or daughter need to take to achieve the best grade possible as they look to leave and begin a new journey come August 2018.
Your attendance at this evening is extremely important for three main reasons; firstly it is an excellent opportunity for you and your son or daughter to have an individual progress meeting with their subject teachers. Secondly, it will allow for any concerns or issues to be raised in a personal setting. Thirdly, it will provide a chance for you to discuss plans for the next steps and allow them to be put in motion. If you are not available, it is highly advisable that your son or daughter attends, after all they are Year 13.
Your son/daughter will need to make an appropriate appointment time with subject teachers over the coming few days so please do discuss this with your son/daughter to ensure you get the most convenient time for you to have those all-important conversations. Staff will be available from 4.30 until 7.30 on the evening and will be keen to speak to you.
The sixth form team look forward to welcoming you on this evening and answering any of your queries.
