At St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College, we aim to develop our students into well-rounded citizens: kind, generous and thoughtful contributors, as well as active, lively participants and future leaders. We aim to teach our students to excel in their academic studies, while at the same time, guiding them to make a contribution to the school community and to participate fully in the many co-curricular opportunities on offer. These three strands of school life – the academic, the spiritual community and the co-curricular – make up the Christus Lumen Gentium Awards, known as Ecclesia (the Church), Scholastica (the learner) and Olympia (the active participant). On Thursday 5th July we will be celebrating the effort, progress and success of our Year 9 students in all three aspects at the Christus Lumen Gentium Awards Evening.
