Two coaches left school at lunchtime on a journey to Holland. First stop was Hull to board the ferry. The students had some time to orient themselves (find all the shops) on the ship before the all you can eat buffet. After a very early breakfast after a late night at the disco we had an action packed day planned either visiting the zoo and Anne Frank House or enjoying education shows at ESA Space Expo and a journey through the human body at Corpus.
At the end of a packed day we all met up for a well-earned pizza in Amsterdam and then travelled on to the Castle for a good nights sleep. We managed a bit of a sleep in this morning and then the students completed the same itinerary as the opposite coach the day before. After our trips both coaches met up in Amsterdam to have the biggest burger at the Hard Rock Café and a leisurely tour of Amsterdam by the canals.
On the last day we had a thrill seeking experience at a theme park before heading back to the ferry for another round of the all you can eat buffet. The students were amazing on the trip and a real credit to the school with members of the public and staff at the excursions being highly complementary.
We are looking forward to next year’s trip which will be held on the 1st-5th July.
More information will be published in September.
