We are pleased to announce that we have now purchased a new App program that will replace the parents VLE.
St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College are very pleased to announce that we are introducing a fantastic new way to communicate and share information with you, our parent community. With the increased use of smart phone technology we want to make best use of it.
MyEd is the free parent app that gives you a multitude of communication and information features to stay in touch with what is going on at school. The app gives you direct access to your child's attendance, timetable, absence records, achievements, behaviour and much, much more. You will also see that we update and change the information in the app as the school year moves along.
We are able to send you messages directly to the MyEd app relating to important information about your child's education and to remind you of events that are taking place at school. We are hoping to move to paperless communication structure by September 2017 in an effort go green and making sure important documents are more efficiently delivered.
For student absences and lateness’s, you will receive a notification if we send you a message and there is no charge for the messages you send to us using this app.
The MyEd app is available now for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found on either the Apple App Store or on Google Play by searching for MyEd.
Once you have installed and opened MyEd, search for [SCHOOLNAME] and follow the simple instructions to identify yourself. After signup has been completed, it will take us 24-48 hours to cross check your details before data in the “My Students” section shows up. Should it not eventually appear after this period then please contact the data manager (email firstname.lastname@example.org ) to check if you have ‘parental responsibility’ and a mobile number assigned to your child in our system.
