Careers
At St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College we believe that a strong careers programme is crucial in facilitating opportunities that ensure students are equipped to make the best choices when leaving our College.
The St Bede's and St Joseph's careers programme aims to provide all students with regular access to employers, expert guidance and workplace experiences to support students in making informed and educated decisions about their next steps. The careers programme is an integral element of our curriculum and careers information is interleaved with subject specific content.
We strive to go beyond the legal minimum entitlement for our students and, whilst our careers provision is underpinned by the Gatsby framework, our intended outcomes reach beyond so that:
- Students will experience a wide range of visits, trips, tours and guest speakers to ensure they encounter a variety of businesses, employers and educators
- Students will undertake various work related experiences
- Students will reflect upon and refine their aspirations through 1-2-1 career guidance and support from our trained counsellors
- Students will increase their knowledge of education, training and career opportunities
- Students will develop a career plan to help them realise their potential
For full details of our careers programme for the current academic year, download the 'Careers Policy' at the top of this page.

Appointments are also available for Students from other year groups on request.
Our careers advisor, Annie Gibson, has several years of experience working with our College and has developed strong relationships with our students. She can be contacted via email: Annie.Gibson@Bradford.gov.uk
