Wednesday 14 May 2025 Year 11 Masterclass Programme Students are expected to attend school as normal until half term, Friday 23rd May. After half term, from Monday 2nd June we want to continue to support your Year 11 child through the rest of their exams, so we have put together a compulsory masterclass programme for them to attend. Almost every exam will have a Masterclass before it, either the afternoon before or the morning before. This will give students a final chance to work with their subject teachers before the exam, on revision, exam technique, timing etc. If your child does not have an exam or masterclass they should work from home. Below is a copy of the Masterclass programme, the students will receive a hard copy on Wednesday 21st May.

Friday 9 May 2025 Habemus Papam On May 8th 2025, the Holy Spirit led the College of Cardinals to elect Cardinal Robert Prevost as the new Pope. St Bede's and St Joseph's College joins the rest of the Catholic world in giving thanks to God for providing the Church a new leader on Earth after the death of Pope Francis. We join the rest of the world in praying for Pope Leo XIV, and ask everyone connected with our college to pray for him as well.

Representatives from the schools came and took part in a day of Adoration of the Lord, where they spent time in the Upper Room Chapel, taking time to pray to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and think about what they are hopeful for during this Jubilee Year of Hope. Wednesday 2 April 2025 Jubilee Mass On Wednesday 2nd April, we had our usual weekly lunchtime Mass, but this one was a little different. Governors and volunteers from within the whole Blessed Christopher Wharton Trust were invited to attend this special Jubilee Year Mass, celebrated by Mgr Paul Grogan and concelebrated by Fr Anthony Jackson. This was a wonderful occasion, where students from St John's House led us all in reading, singing and bringing the offertory gifts. Some members of our Junior Choir also helped to amplify the liturgy even more beautifully. We would like to thank our guests for attending this Mass, and look forward to seeing you all again in the future. We would also like to offer our thanks to Mgr Paul Grogan and Fr Anthony Jackson for making offering the Mass for us. St Bede and St Joseph. Pray for us. Blessed Christopher Wharton. Pray for us.

Wednesday 1 May 2024 Year 11 Future Focus Year 11 had their final Future Focus assembly on Monday 29th May, where the focus was on their upcoming exams. Students have been given a personalised exam timetable which has also been sent home to parents via Arbor along with an exams letter and handbook of exam regulations. Students will attend school as normal up until Friday 24th and will receive a compulsory masterclass timetable which runs from Monday 3rd June. Each masterclass takes place just before the exam. Monday 7 November 2022 SBSJ Water Polo - International Representation During the half term break, the English Schools Water Polo team flew out to Hungary for an international camp to train and play against some of the top Hungarian club sides, and for those that don't know, Water Polo is their National Sport.
