FLAME 2025
On Saturday 15th March, 10000 people gathered at the OVO Arena Wembley to attend FLAME, the largest gathering of young people in the UK. Students from St Bede's and St Joseph's were among the 10000 in attendance, and each of them had a fantastic time, taking part in the many different acts, which included testimony from many different influential guests, including Bear Grylls and Isaac Harvey, and worshipping God in a powerful way. The theme of FLAME was Unstoppable, and how especially during this Jubilee Year of Hope, our young people can smash through any barriers when the gift of faith is alive. Our students were a real credit to the College, and gave an excellent example of what it means to be a member of the St Bede's and St Joseph's community.
FLAME was a really good opportunity for young Christians to gather around and practice our faith. There were plenty of people around our age that were really friendly and were open for conversation. The acts were mind-blowing and at the same time really interactive, as they included us by singing along or putting on your phone flashlight and dancing to the beat. We found it incredible to see Bear Grylls and to get his book. Similarly, seeing lots of charities and presenters who would show their campaign and try to not only help others that they campaign but the audience too. There was also the final part which was adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, which was so powerful. I truly felt the presence of Jesus spiritually.
