Water Safety Information for Families
Following the tragic incidents in Halifax over the recent Bank Holiday weekend, and a number of other serious water-related accidents across the country in recent weeks, we would like to share some important water safety messages with our students.
As the weather becomes warmer and young people spend more time outdoors, we are using a short presentation in PSHE lessons over the next fortnight to raise awareness of the dangers associated with open water, including rivers, reservoirs, lakes and canals.
The presentation focuses on practical advice to help students recognise risks, make safe choices, and know what to do in an emergency. Our aim is to support students in staying safe while enjoying outdoor activities during the summer months.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home and reinforce the importance of water safety with their children.
Thank you for your support.
