Subject Intent
At SBSJ we believe in promoting the Arts as a valuable social, cultural and educational skill. We aim to ignite our students’ curiosity for the world around them by developing lifelong learners with a passion for creativity.
We aspire to raise awareness of the multicultural society and the world we live in by exploring scripts and texts from a range of cultures. We illuminate and inspire our learners to develop their own global understanding and become citizens of the world, who can serve others. We explore topics which will challenge their thinking in how they see themselves and others.
We aim to create confident performers and public speakers by equipping them with the essential lifelong skills to help them achieve their dreams and shine in the world of work with confidence.
Performing Arts Newsletter
We are a vibrant Performing Arts community, and I also hope to inspire my fellow students and encourage them to participate in the arts at SBSJ and beyond! We want to promote aspiration and share ways of different journeys into careers in the arts with directions to further education or training programmes this source will direct them to the top Arts Schools in the country that are on our doorstep. - Molly, Performing Arts Ambassador
