House Feast Day – 27 December 

“Via, veritas, vita”
The Way, the Truth, the Life   (John 14:6)

This quote from St John’s Gospel has been chosen to be our House motto. It gives us a really clear message to live by. At St Bede’s and St Joseph’s our aim is to help our students develop and grow in to happy, confident and spiritually awakened lifelong learners. In order to achieve this they need some inspiration to look to and guide them. St John points us towards Jesus, our ultimate teacher, guide and inspiration. Through Jesus’ teachings and example we are given the way and the truth by which we should live. Belief in this and a commitment to following Jesus leads each of us towards a deeper understanding and experience of the fullness and richness of life. Through their time in St John House our students will grow in their understanding of the meaning of our motto and be encouraged to live by it. In doing this they become like Jesus. Their example as a witness to Jesus then enlightens others around them towards the way, the truth and the life.
