St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College were represented by the following students Caiden Spencer, Genevieve Hackett, Julia Lewanczyk, Dominic Kirton and Megan Markey at the recent Good Shepherd celebrations held at St Anne's Cathedral. They were thrilled to hand over a cheque to Bishop Marcus Stock for £1000 that had been collected by our students over previous weeks of fundraising. Students had found most inventive ways of fundraising from cake stalls to throwing wet sponges at very brave staff volunteers.
Julia Lewanczyk 7B had this to say about her day.
"I had a fantastic experience meeting Bishop Marcus Stock at the good shepherd celebration service 2017. I was an honor to represent our school and present the cheque to the bishop. We told Bishop Marcus about the different ways we had raised money for catholic care which will use this money to help people in need. St. Anna’s cathedral was a wonderful place to hold this celebration with many schools from our community participating in the Mass. We collected over 1,000 pounds with your constant help by donating as much as possible. Thank you to everyone which helped to contributed to make this day possible."
