On Saturday 17th November, past students of St Joseph’s College arrived at our Ignis site to celebrate and remember their school days at the College. This event, so deftly designed by Joanna Jackson, was organised this year by Anne Beaumont, with assistance from Catherine James and Rachel Brooks.
Mass was celebrated by Father Kieran Walker and our current students did us proud, taking lead roles by serving on the altar, delivering the first reading and sharing the bidding prayers. Also, our students helped to serve lunch to the visitors and engaged them in conversation about what school was like “back then” and what it’s like now.
It was great to see all the past pupils back in College and to catch up with what they’re doing; a fantastic tradition – long may it continue!
