Lent Days of Reconciliation

During Lent and during Advent every year, St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College hold a Day of Reconciliation on each of our school sites. Each day of Reconciliation starts with a series of assemblies which are attended by all students; about the need for Reconciliation and the blessings to be gained by receiving the Sacrament.

This Lent these Reconciliation assemblies were led by Franciscan Friar priest, Fr Christopher at Ardor and by Fr Gregory, the Parish Priest of St Cuthbert’s and the First Martyrs parish, at Ignis.

After these assemblies our students then have the opportunity to sign up to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and many students took this opportunity.

Priests from the Bradford Deanery and beyond were invited to be with us for the Days of Reconciliation and many were able to assist with this Sacrament.

More than 440 students were able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at our Lent Days of Reconciliation. This is an excellent number.

We would like to congratulate all of the students who took this opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and so make a perfect preparation for the great feast of Easter.

St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College would also like to thank all of our priests for their continued support of our college.
