Through to the U15 and U18 Girls English Schools Northern Final

Both our U15 and U18 girls Water Polo teams have progressed through to the English Schools National Final. Arriving in Manchester we learned that a team from each age group would not be attending, meaning we would automatically progress through. However we still had to play for our position as placing 1st might just give us a slightly easier pathway at the Final in March.

Tournament report

Two fantastic games of Water Polo. I was particularly impressed with the U18 match despite the defeat, as our U15 team is our U18 team, having no yr11+ girls in the squad. All the girls gave everything they had and played some really good Water Polo at times. Pressing really well when defending and always ready to counter fast in attack. The most pleasing thing for me is everyone seemed confident on the ball, with no one shying away, especially when we went behind the in the matches.

Due to two teams dropping out, it meant we had some spare time to do another practice match for the U18s.

Friendly U18 result

SBSJ  3-1  MHS

Well done to all involved and lets see what the English Schools National Final brings!
