After SBSJ dominated the early stages Bradford Academy actually took the lead with their first attack.  Some indecisive defending allowed their striker to nip between goalkeeper Micheal Apanowicz and Joseph Priestley and was brought down for a penalty. The lead however didn't last long as Priestley atoned for his error by finding the net with a brilliantly taken shot from 25 yards out minutes after the restart. SBSJ then completely dominated the rest of the first half keeping possession and passing the ball with confidence. Further goals were added to the score sheet from Adrian Mangulabnan, Alex Rushworth and Ethan Wenayato to go in to half time with a deserved 4-1 lead.

The half time team talk was all about how Bradford could have a go at us at the start of the 2nd half to try and get back into the game and we needed to concentrate defensively with their long ball tactics. This never materialised though and our dominance along with our slick passing game made sure we were never in danger. Goals were added by Eion Howell, Ethan Wenayato, and 2 more from Adrian Mangulabnan who completed his hat trick and the 8-1 win.

Man of the match went to Alex Rushworth who dominated central midfield and provided 3 assists on the night.

Well done to all and on to next week’s fixture. Coach Mr D Toronczak
