As a school we’ve supported the Gianna Project for a number of years. This year John Senior house took a special interest in the appeal and brought a very hands on approach to boosting the response to the appeal within school. Aside from collecting the gifts and donations from students and staff, they also collected money and went to the shops to buy even more baby things, even using their charisma and passion to gain donations of items from the supermarket manager!
They delivered the items personally and had an insight into the types of families that the Gianna Project support. It was a really eye opening experience to see how families in great need in our own community can be helped by simply motivating our young people into action and the students themselves played the biggest role in doing this.
“Please pass on our sincere thanks to your lovely students. I’m sure they will recognise these lovely Moses Baskets, which are now full to the brim and ready to meet their new families in Leeds this week. Thank you yet again for enabling us, to get these to the families who truly need them.“
With kind regards Eileen & Asia from the Gianna Project
