Over the summer a group of sixth form students set off to Dimaro, Italy to take part in a 2 week work experience project funded by the Erasmus + Programme. 15 students worked in the busy resorts of Folgarida and Dimaro to get some hands on experience to see what if feels like to work in a busy tourist destination. Work duties included assisting in the bar, serving breakfast and dinner and helping in various outdoor adventure activities. When the students were not working they managed to have some fun and visited various sites around the region, taking part in mountain biking, trekking and rafting activities.
The project's main aim is to give students an idea of what it is like to work and live overseas and maybe inspire them to look at the possibility of working or studying abroad once they finish at St Benedict's sixth form.
